We moved in April and we've been busy!  We looked all over for a place that had - nice weather, a good size piece of land, a big home and, a large yard for dogs and kids! 

Our new (old) home was built in the 60s.  It was originally just over 1000 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.  Various previous owners added on and over the years the house became 3300 square feet with 5 bedrooms, 4 baths.  But it was far from "move in ready."  We have plenty of remodeling and work to do.  We're in the process of updating the kitchen, dry walling the garage and barn, modifying electrical outlets and switches, changing lighting, plumbing, etc.  The list goes on and on.

But it has potential.  There's a large yard, pool, barn, corrals, even a guest house.  We have Roses, Camelias, Hydrangeas and many other types of flowers and plants. There are nearby horse properties and agricultural growers.  The scenery is pretty and we have cool, ocean breezes.  All of this in San Diego County.  And, we're just a short drive to the beach!

The dogs love it and they get to run around a lot.  And other animals like it too... some unwelcome ones!  We've had rabbits, squirrels, gophers, mice, toads, various birds, hawks, coyotes and two gopher snakes (we re-homed them.)

They love to run!  It's great to see them in full stride running about.
